Recent Sisterhood Event Highlights

Six Sisterhood members, spearheaded by Thea Johnson, fried over 300 latkes in 5 frying pans in the 90 minutes during Religious School on Wednesday December 1st, minutes before the official start of Chanukah. Thanks to Thea, who coordinated this activity and prepared the potato batter ahead of time! They have been stored in the kitchen refrigerator in preparation for the school's Chanukah party on Sunday.

On Sunday, October 24, the Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood hosted a Family Hike at Stenger Farm Park which was led by Rabbi Aaron Rosenberg. During the walk through the woods, attendees of all ages enjoyed hearing a bit of history about the 100 acres of nature preserve on Clark Lane, which is nestled between a residential neighborhood and a busy commercial Waterford district banked by a middle school and shopping centers. The children enjoyed walking with sticks they found on the hike and later observed tadpoles in a little pond they came upon.
