Jewish Community High School (JCHS)

Grades: 9th-12th

The school year is divided into trimesters. In the 1st and 3rd trimesters, classes will be taught by the rabbis. The 2nd trimester will be devoted to Community Service: Tikkun Olam. The Young Emissaries will be involved in all the programs.

We will also have special events from time to time on a variety of topics that are important and relevant to our students. Parents will always be notified in advance regarding the subject matter.

A registration brochure listing classes for the fall tri-mester is mailed in late August or early September. Classes typically begin in early September and end by mid-May.

The Basics:

  • 6:00-6:30 pm Pizza & Salad
  • 6:30-6:50 pm Activity led by the Young Emissaries
  • 6:50-7:50 pm Class
  • 7:50-8:00 pm Dessert

There is a $250 fee (per student) which covers all meals and materials for all student programs during the year. Financial arrangements and scholarships are available. Contact the Jewish Federation at 860-442-8062.
