Come In, Come In

Please come in and make yourself comfortable.  Look through a book, read a magazine, peruse our video collection.  Take advantage of this great resource that you have helped to build!  "Read" all about us below.

Temple Emanu-El Library

Our library is a wonderful resource for Temple Emanu-El's children, teens, parents and teachers.  It houses over 1,000 books on a variety of topics, and the Temple Emanu-El Archives.

Our collection consists of a wide-range of Jewish-themed media that includes:  Adult & Children Fiction & Non-Fiction Books, Audio Books, Reference Books, Magazines, and Movie & Music CDs and DVDs.

You and the Library

We are so fortunate to have our library staffed with wonderful volunteers.  But we can use your help, too, to read and review our books for other congregants, make suggestions for books and media that you would like to see as part of our collection, Read-Aloud to our kids, or just lend a hand.

Library News

We would like to thank the Sisterhood and all who shopped at the book fair in December for providing us with 30 new children's books.  Small book fairs receive the "profit" from their sales in books not cash.  The Sisterhood was generous to let us "shop" the book fair with a portion of their "profit" at the end of the day and to expand our children's collection.  This donation enabled us to expand our holiday themed, biographies, and non-fiction books.  Please stop by and check out the new selections.

Book Donations

There are many ways to make sure our library continues to grow.  Make a donation in honor of a loved one, donate books or funds to assist with the purchase of books, audio books, music or videos -- every donation makes a difference.  The library also accepts donations of gently-used Judaic content books.  Books will be added to the collection at the librarian's discretion, and may be passed along to other book-related charities.

Borrowing Procedures
