Shabbat Evening Services

Shabbat is always a special time at Temple Emanu-El. The first Friday of the month is a family service, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Members are encouraged to bring their children to these services expressly designed for young people. It is a chance for children to be introduced to the form of a service and to participate actively.

Adult-oriented Shabbat services are held on the remaining Fridays of the month, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Many members help to lead services, read from the Torah, deliver sermons, and assist the Cantorial Soloist and Rabbi. During the summer months lay people routinely lead the services.  If you have an idea for a creative service or have a Simchah you want to celebrate, contact Rabbi Rosenberg or Cantorial Soloist Sherry Barnes.

Temple Emanu-El welcomes everyone to join us in celebrating Shabbat.
